For independent museum entry
The Vatican Museums entrance is on Viale Vaticano. The selected independent ticket instructs visitors to use the GetYourGuide entrance at their allocated time and follow the ticket-scanning instructions after security. Save the full voucher; a screenshot of a payment receipt may not contain the entry document you need.
For a guided tour
Go to the tour’s meeting point first. The Tours About listing varies the meeting point by option. Gray Line’s standard meeting point is Piazza del Risorgimento by Bar L’Ottagono, while selected pickup options have their own instructions. Neither should be replaced with a generic Vatican City map pin.
Arriving by Metro
The museums’ official directions identify Metro line A, with Ottaviano or Cipro as nearby stops. Choose a route to your exact check-in address, rather than automatically choosing the stop nearest the museum. Leave time for the walk and for finding the correct side of the street. Check current transport service before setting out.
For St Peter’s Basilica
Use the basilica’s own arrival instructions when that is your destination. St Peter’s Square is not the Vatican Museums ticket entrance. If your day includes both, treat the walk between the two as a separate part of your itinerary and allow time for the next venue’s access checks.
Build a useful arrival buffer
Work backwards from the provider’s requested check-in time. Add the journey, the walk from the station, and time to locate the meeting point. A buffer should help you arrive ready; it does not mean a timed ticket will admit you early. Keep the provider’s contact details from your voucher available if your journey is delayed.
